Two and Three Month Pics

I've been so busy. I took pictures at two months but haven't posted them yet. I'll post them soon. I will soon be at 3 months and will post those soon as well. We have been very busy with the Obama campaign that I haven't had time for much else. Stay tuned, more pics coming. In the meantime, be inspired by the two videos posted here. Even if you are not an Obama supporter, the videos are inspirational. We just want a better American for us all and especially for our children. You may have seen these videos before since they have been out for a while, but take a moment and get re-inspired and motivated. Peace Out! Sauda

Four Weeks Into The Journey

Hey all,

I actually planned to write following my first day, but you know how that goes. Anyway, here are pictures of my hair at four weeks. I've been a little self conscious about the style because I've been so addicted to the "creamy crack" and the "OPH" (Other People's Hair) I think I almost forgot what my natural hair looked like. The profile picture is one of the first pictures taken without partial weaves, wigs, ponytails, etc. I have been wearing my hair semi-natural since Sept.-Oct. 07. I put a texturizer in my hair to manage my hair against Florida's humidity. The color you see on the ends are the parts of my hair that were texturized. Check out the intricate parting. My SL Trainee/Consultant is on her way to be one of the most meticulous consultants in this area. Well, actually, I believe she is the only one in this area.
I'm actually getting use to the look. Well, actually I have to get use to it, because I refuse to go back. I'm so tired of the "hair drama." When ever I get a little weak and glance over at the "Hair Store" on my way home from work, I think about all the ladies on the blogs and the stories they share that are so very similar to mine. They look great, their hair is fabulous and it gives me a renewed dose of patience as I wait for my "baby locks" to mature. The Dallas ladies, Atlanta ladies and North Carolina, Boston ladies and all the others are very inspirational. I think I'll hang in there for a while. No more OPH for Sauda! It's A Natural Thang...
